The circle-shaped buckle is made from UES’s original cast brass and has a solid feel. The leather is made from thick cowhide from North America. The leather is processed in large facilities, which only a few factories in Japan have, giving it great strength. The process of tanning, which involves going through approximately 60 pits (large bathtubs) over a period of two months, is also called pit tanning. After tanning the leather, we select the highest grade leather and polish it by hand by skilled craftsmen.

The characteristic of bridle leather is the white bloom (oil and fat component) that appears as various patterns, creating the individuality of each piece.
The more the leather is used, the more it loses its whiteness and gains luster, and it will grow into a one-of-a-kind item for each individual user.

*The white color is the bloom (a wax ingredient that permeates the leather during the tanning process). It will gradually fade away and become shiny with use.
Please be assured that this is not a defect, but a sign of leather with high resistance to water and high fastness.
*Please note that the bloom tends to stick to your hands and clothes at the beginning of use.
